I read this quote by Alfred Hitchcock today morning,
"The length of a film should be directly related to the endurance of the human bladder."
I completely agree (from my own experiences and really bad ones at times :( ), specially with the theatres being air-conditioned and them providing huge glasses of cokes.

Totally! I had to miss a Liv Tyler scene in LOTR thanks to bladder emergency :(
probably true with Hitchcock movies, but with typical normal movies, it doesnt matter...
