This what Steve Waugh said when asked about his motto in life. I have always been a great admirer of Steve Waugh. He is by far my favorite sportsman (even though I am not particularly fond of cricket as a game), Aggasi comes a close second.
This post is not about Steve Waugh's achievements in the cricketing or non-cricketing world. Its about his attitude. He made a carrier out of proving people wrong and getting through the hard times so he could enjoy the good times. In his own words, "I played my best cricket when it was backs against the wall, when someone said I couldn't do it". For all his arrogance on the field, he is very humble and honest man off the field and is the first one to raise his hand and say my bad.
